On Wednesday, July 12th, my colleagues and I attended the first representation of the 16th edition of « l’Acadie des Terres et Forêts en Fête ». This year, inspired by a television series called “The Story of Us”, the show is entitled “The Story of Nu Z’Autres”. The actors of the show approach the controversial content of this program where Acadia was absent in the history of Canada.
When we arrived, some of the artists were at the entrance to greet the audience. I was impatient to see what the artists of « l’Acadie des Terres et Forêts en Fête » had in store for our evening. The theater was comfortable and spacious, there was room for everyone! Once the show started, I was immediately pleasantly surprised by the impeccable interpretation of the roles of historical characters by the actors. There was entertainment of all kinds such as dance, singing, theater and even topical subjects were discussed. The whole thing was presented with a humorous touch, which I greatly appreciated. Performing artists have done an extraordinary job representing the Acadian, Quebeckers and First Nations people as they deserve.
The show “The Story of Nu Z’Autres” is presented in the theater room of the Grey Rock casino, from July 12th to August 6th, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Entrance fees are $ 25 for an adult and $ 15 for children up to twelve years of age. Would you like to enjoy a cultural and entertaining evening with your family? The artists from l’Acadie des Terres et Forêts en Fête have exactly what you are looking for!
