On June 15th, thanks to my job, I was able to discover a wonderful place: Gus Garden. Accompanied by France, my work colleague, I went to visit this beautiful private garden located at 102 rue Principal, in Saint-Basile.
Once we arrived, after a warm welcome, we headed to the backyard of the house to access the garden. The entrance is free but donations are always appreciated and will be given to a local organization. Having only heard positive comments about this place, I was excited to see what the famous ”Jardin de Gus” had in store for us.
At my first glance, I was amazed by the scenery as well as the many species of flowers. Plus, it was much bigger than I imagined. We followed a small paved path that lead us around the garden where we could see each section of it. I loved the section called “Coin des Artistes” where we could observe talented local artists painting pretty colorful works.
The enchanting landscapes of the ”Jardin de Gus” have definitely overcome my expectations. Whether you are a fan of flowers and plants or not, I recommend you without hesitation to go check it out. You will not regret it! The garden is open to public on the 15th day of each month, from June to August, with some exceptions
