Along the St. John River, the city of Edmundston, New Brunswick, is strategically located between the province of Quebec and the State of Maine (USA). Nestled in a valley, surrrounded by an incredible nature, you will find a bike path, mountain bike trails, the New Brunswick Botanical Garden, as well as many historical and cultural attractions.

Make Edmundston your next vacations destination, or make sure to stop on your way to your Maritimes adventure.

Winter Activities

The cold season is coming by very fast and in Edmundston, we're ready for it!

Take advantage of the many cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails in the Edmundston region or participate in the Winter Festivals that our municipalities hold during the winter months. In addition, the city of Edmundston offers skating in 4 outdoor rinks, a giant ice ring, and 2 arenas.

You're looking for some downhill skiing and snowboarding? You'll be pleased by the Mont Farlagne Ski Hill, that offers 22 trails and 2 slope for tubes.

Register to the Lac Baker Pond Hockey Tournament from February 3 to 5, 2012, or participate in family activities offered at the Carnaval en Rafale, Edmundston's Winter Festival.

The Edmundston region is where snowmobilers and ATV owners have hundreds of kilometers to practice their favorite sport! 

After a great day of fun, warm up in one of Edmundston's restaurants or bistro. 

Historical Sites and Museums
History has always moved you? Well, it also moves us! That is why the Edmundston area abounds in historical sites and museums to help you discover our region from a different angle. Edmundston and Madawaska County have always been considered a strategic location because of our proximity to Quebec and the United States.
Outdoor Activities

With the environment that surrounds the city of Edmundston, you will find several outdoor activities. Whether you like to bike on a track or prefer mountain biking, you will find a 130km bike path linking Edmundston and Rivière-du-Loup (QC). In addition, 35 kilometres of hiking and mountain biking trails located only 5 minutes from downtown Edmundston will surely wow you!

Geocaching affecionados? Most of our caches are located in our different tourists attractions, so what a great way to start your vacation in the City of Edmundston!
