Transformation, an exhibition by artist Denise Violette Michaud, presented at the City Hall Gallery.

In this exhibition, the artist presents textile works made from used fabrics and recycled objects. This approach allows her to extend the life of materials by incorporating them into her creations, thereby diverting them from a landfill fate and giving them new value in a sustainable creative process. Each piece is unique and reveals layers of colors and textures, hand-sewn seams, and fragments of recovered objects. Dyed with plants and rusted metals, the fabrics engage in a dialogue between vitality and decomposition, giving rise to organic structures rich in meaning.

Denise Violette Michaud is a textile and ceramic artist. She lives and works in Drummond, New Brunswick. Her artistic process ranges from jewelry design to larger ceramic pieces, such as vases and sculptures. Textiles have been a part of her life since childhood and are naturally at the heart of her artistic practice. She explores textures, colors, and patterns, weaving a sensitive link between art and craftsmanship.
