About Studio de chant Jessie Guerrette
Passionate about the arts, Jessie leads a double life as performer and teacher. She currently teaches music full-time at École Notre-Dame in Edmundston. Jessie holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Université de Moncton and a Master's degree in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Toronto. During her university career, she took on several roles as part of the Opera Workshop presented by the Université de Moncton Music Department, including : Hansel in the opera Hansel und Gretel (E. Humperdink), Laetitia in the opera The Old Maid and the Thief (G. Menotti) and Vitallia in the opera La Clémence de Titus (Mozart), to name but a few. Recent engagements include Canadian composer Howard Shore's Sea to Sea with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, Handel's Messiah with Moncton's Tutta Musica Orchestra and the Calixte Symphonique concert with the Orchestre philharmonique du Haut-Saint-Jean. Back in her hometown since 2017, she has held the position of Development Officer for Jeunesses musicales NB, as well as 2 terms as President of Jeunesse musicale Edmundston. Jessie is also the co-founder of the “Ploye École” musical theater camp and the Le Ploye Show. She is the owner of Studio de Chant Jessie Guerrette, dedicated to teaching singing and musical theater since 2017.
